At PALO Creative, we pride ourselves on thoughtful work. The kind of work we’re passionate about. As a marketing agency, the workplace environment is extremely fast-paced, as we’re always hustling to meet tight deadlines. It can be easy to get caught up in the daily grind. But, earlier this month, we took a step back and spread the word about something important to us.
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Instead of thinking of the horrible, life-altering aspects that breast cancer brings, we rallied in support of the inspiring women and men who have fought the disease with courage and strength. Our job is to inspire and make people feel connected with whatever we’re marketing. But there is nothing more inspiring than someone rising up against adversity and taking on this dangerous cancer.
“Breast cancer is something that has deeply affected my family and is close to my heart. I feel it’s my mission to spread awareness and the importance of routine exams for not only women but for men, too.” – Christina Belcik, Account Manager
This year’s National Breast Cancer Foundation theme is RISE, and our team wanted to rise to the challenge. Brooke, our Marketing Strategy Associate, made pink T-shirts for the whole team to wear, as we posed for a picture and enjoyed a team lunch together.
With thousands of breast cancer cases being diagnosed every day in the United States, our team believes in the importance of sparking the conversation. Because together, we can truly save lives.
